On a family visit to France one year, we decided to visit Monte Carlo for the day, just to see what it was like. Needless to say, we couldn't really afford to do anything at all. My parents walked into the Casino de Monte-Carlo to have a look around, leaving my brother and I (as children - so not allowed in) on the steps outside. We were very quickly shooed away by staff. I was not much of a fan of Monte Carlo. Although my brother very much liked seeing the car called Eleanor in Gone in 60 Seconds in real life. The only other thing I remember about this place, apart from us all staring at a lot of huge white yachts, was buying a really awful t-shirt with wild horses on that still doesn't fit me. Shame.
- DON'T - sit down on the steps of the Casino de Monte-Carlo. They will move you on and make you feel like an idiot.
- AVOID IF - you don't enjoy looking at all the cars and boats you'll never own.
